Wedding fever at Tankardstown House

We’ve got plenty of reasons for loving weddings at Tankardstown House. First is the venue itself, a gorgeous manor house with beautiful gardens.  Period features, tranquil surroundings and plenty of space to accommodate guests onsite or in nearby Slane village.

It is a beautifully restored 18th-century manor house that offers a serene and peaceful setting for your wedding day. Close enough to Dublin for convenience, but sitting peacefully in the tranquil Boyne valley countryside.

Tankardstown is picture perfect, but what makes this venue consistently incredible is the staff and the welcome. It is something we look forward to on every visit. Service is everything, especially for something as important as your wedding day, and the team here are just the best when it comes to hospitality and making sure your guests are enjoying a day to remember.

With Fran and Tadhg running the show with minimal fuss and plenty of humour you have everything you need for your guests to enjoy a spectacular day. Warm, friendly, but always efficient. Everyone here gets the 5 star treatment, exactly what you would hope for on your wedding day.

Wedding celebrations at Tankardstown House

We had a wonderful day with Kirsti and James last September. Everything from getting ready that morning, to saying ‘I do’, dancing under the stars and partying late into the night.

Even their gorgeous dog got scrubbed up and in on the action, perfectly complimenting the bridal party – I’m sure I caught him on camera smiling to me!

At Tankardstown you’ll enjoy your main reception meal in the Orangery, it’s a bright light filled space that fits 250 guests comfortably.

Getting ready the morning of your wedding

The Secret Garden Cottage is a wonderful addition to Tankardstown House. Located in the Garden Village, this private space provides a superb venue for the wedding party to get ready on the morning of the wedding. The cottage is equipped with hair and make-up stations and can comfortably accommodate up to eight. A continental breakfast with a bottle of Prosecco is also provided to start the day off on a high note!

Wedding Ceremony options at Tankardstown House

At Tankardstown, couples have the option of holding their wedding ceremony either indoors in The Orangery or outdoors in The Walled Garden, to the side of the main house as Kirsti and James did. It is a captivating setting with the Manor House providing a striking background. The garden holds seating for up to 180 guests, we were very lucky with the weather for Kirsti and James and it was a beautifully intimate ceremony.
