A humanist wedding at beautiful Bellinter
We were delighted to document this stylish celebration at Bellinter House during the summer, the House was a perfect fit for Cormac and Sinead who wanted an outdoor ceremony and a reception which had the epic feel of a house party!
A humanist ceremony started the day, down by the picturesque weeping beech tree. It’s a stunning spot to exchange your vows. True to the irish summer the heavens opened towards the end – everyone did very well to sprint for cover! Luckily the sun made a reappearance and the gardens to the rear of the house hosted a wonderful garden party.
Bellinter House has that genuine Country House feel. We’ve stayed here a couple of times, it’s a great venue close to Dublin – a lovely quiet space to chill out, and enjoy a treatment if you are treating yourself. The food has been top notch the couple of times we visited. For weddings you have the bonus of taking the whole house to yourself, there is accommodation on site for about 100 people.
From a filming perspective most couple shoots take place at the front of the house in the gardens and woodland area. Ceremonies can be held in the open air to the front of house under The Weeping Beech tree, or alternatively directly in front of the House itself.
We have also filmed a gorgeous ceremony at the rear of the house on the recently added back patio – if you marry here you will take in a fabulous vista of the Boyne Valley.
The main House itself is 18th century Georgian, with a nice mix of modern elegance and style. It really looks incredible on film, it’s such a photogenic venue.
For Cormac and Sinead’s day they enlisted Amber from Styled by Amber to create the perfect boho vibe. One Fab Day featured our film recently – you can view their blog post here.
A real gem of a wedding, you can also check out their wedding day photos over on Eric’s Photography website.
