Big love at Ballymagarvey Village

What an unforgettable day we had with these two (and three if you count Rosie the dog)! We enjoyed a fabulous October day of non-stop fun with Kirsty and Alec for their wedding in this idyllic location. We started the day in Malahide, north Dublin, where the groomsmen braved a very baltic dip in the Irish sea. While it was unfortunate we forgot to pack our own togs, in hindsight, it was probably for the best.

After everyone had warmed up, it was onto Ballymagarvey Village, Co Meath for a beautiful humanist ceremony in the Mill Loft where family and friends gathered to observe Kirsty and Alec as they exchanged vows. Before dancing and the real party started, guests were treated to sparklers and champagne under the stars.

Ballymagarvey is a venue that has it all, and we always enjoy filming there. This private estate sits elegantly in the Boyne Valley, County Meath, surrounded by unspoilt countryside views. An 18th Century Manor House, a Victorian walled garden, a lake and over 800 years of Irish history simply make for the most magical of places to celebrate love.  This venue is always great to film in, whatever the season and the team at Ballymagarvey are experts when it comes to tailoring every detail to perfection.

Ceremony spaces at Ballymagarvey

Ballymagarvey is great for both intimate and larger weddings of up to 170 guests and can hold Civil Ceremonies, Civil Partnerships, Humanist Ceremonies and Blessings right on site. You can have your Ceremony indoors in the Mill Loft, with its exposed beams and crystal chandeliers, or outside in the walled Victorian garden, and there are also many churches located nearby.

Accommodation options at Ballymagarvey

The Manor House itself has 9 luxury bedrooms and the estate also has 20 en-suite bedrooms in the Courtyard Cottages as well as additional rooms in the Schoolhouse and Secret Gardens. In total, Ballymagarvey can accommodate up to 70 guests onsite and they can recommend other nearby places for guests to stay, should you need it.

We think it’s fair to say, Ballymagarvey served as the perfect backdrop to celebrate the start of a new journey for Alec and Kirsty.  Many thanks to them for allowing us share their superb day!

And Many thanks also to Paul from Moat Hill Photography for allowing us to use some of his photography from the day – Paul a Photographer we regularly recommend – his work is so good, and it is a complete pleasure working with him. You can vie Moat Hill’s full set of photography from the day here.

They are absolutely amazing. We're over the moon and will be recommending you to anyone and everyone xx
