Marlfield House wedding

Summertime

Style and sunshine at Marlfield House

On an extraordinary day that challenged the typical Irish weather, our journey began at Aleana’s parents’ delightful holiday home in Wexford. The stunning views from their property set the stage for a day that would leave a lasting impression in our memories.

Aleana, the owner of Covet, a fashionable boutique situated in Dublin’s prestigious Powerscourt Townhouse, has an exceptional eye for style. Her store showcases a handpicked selection of luxurious brands, with options to buy or rent, catering to brides and fashion lovers alike. Given her sophisticated background, we were committed to producing a wedding film that would genuinely capture Aleana and Niall’s refined tastes.

The weather allowed us to venture to the beach for a brief yet wonderful photo session. This is Ireland and you don’t get many opportunities to spend the morning of a wedding on a sun drenched Co. Wexford beach! After this gorgeous moment, we returned to Marlfield House for the next phase of the celebration.

Nestled in County Wexford, Ireland, Marlfield House is a distinguished member of Ireland’s Blue Book and Relais et Chateaux. With 36 acres of lush gardens and woodlands, Marlfield House provides a unique and romantic setting for an unforgettable country house wedding.

The staff at Marlfield House pamper guests with champagne and canapés in the elegantly furnished reception rooms, on the terrace, or amid the gardens. The house offers a variety of settings for wedding ceremonies, including the Print Room, Conservatory, or the tranquil garden, ensuring a beautiful backdrop for both the event and the wedding album.

Marlfield House has built its reputation on its dining experience, using much of the food grown in its own kitchen garden or locally sourced and produced. After a delectable dinner served in the conservatory dining room, guests can dance the night away in the hall, with a cheese and port feast served at midnight. The softly lit drawing room and library bar provide a cozy space for guests to relax as the night comes to an end.

Accommodation at Marfield House

For weddings of varying sizes, Marlfield House offers different venue options. The Manor House and five Pond Suites can accommodate up to 70 guests, while the elegant Print Suite is perfect for intimate weddings of up to 55 people. The estate’s diverse scenery, including woodland walks, an ornamental lake, herbaceous borders, and rose gardens, guarantees a perfect backdrop for unforgettable photographs.

Marfield House weddings – what to expect

In addition to the wedding celebration, Marlfield House can arrange informal gatherings for friends and family the night before or the day after the wedding. Options include a buffet, supper party, barbeque, or lunch party in the conservatory, garden, or The Duck Terrace Restaurant which is located on the grounds.

Marlfield House offers comprehensive wedding packages starting from €145 per person, which include a wide array of services such as reception drinks, canapés, a five-course dinner with wines, abundant flower arrangements, candelabras, tea-lights on all tables, and the Master Suite with a bottle of champagne for the newlyweds.

Aleana and Niall’s wedding was a beautiful celebration that brought together their love, family, and friends in a breathtaking setting. We were thrilled to record their Marlfield House wedding for them, thanks to you both X
