Emma Walkin

Film-maker
Emma Walkin in South Sudan

Emma Walkin is one of the most respected wedding film-makers in Ireland and will have you completely at ease on your day.

It all started for Emma in New York after she won a scholarship to study media.

After gaining some broader studio experience on her return to Dublin, Emma turned her hand to weddings - her first gig was a lavish 3 day affair at Adare Manor, covering a well known irish / american wedding. It's been downhill ever since!

Emma is also a founding partner of Doghouse Media, a media and web production company based in Dublin.

A typical day involves the juggling of three energetic kids (who all happen to be the same age), two demanding dogs, and a healthy Pilates regime - gotta save those shoulders!

If you want to see Emma in action, and get some behind the scenes access to some beautiful wedding venues, take a look at her instagram stories on any given weekend!

Emma is simply a joy to work with. When you are planning a wedding you come across so many suppliers who you have to place your trust in, and Emma is just the very best at what she does.

Alan Higgison

Editor
Alan Higgion in South Sudan

Alan's vision is the reason edithouse moved on from 'traditional' wedding edits. And thank goodness for that!

Our supremely talented Creative lead hails from London where he forged his career in media. Somewhere along the way he met an irish girl and made the sensible decision to move to Ireland - London's loss is most definitely our gain!

Alan's musical background shines through on every edit he completes. What we love about his work is his attention to detail and forever learning attitude - pace, timing and music are everything when it comes to an edithouse edit, while the ability to convey emotion is paramount when creating a great story from start to finish.

When he's not on the phone to Emma debating some dodgy drone footage, he is kept busy as a Dad of two and of course a keen traveller when time allows!

Alan's passions lie in everything film, photography and music (especially his drums), cycling, and the great outdoors.

The videos themselves are incredible and we wouldn’t have asked for anything more. Worth every single penny and something we will cherish forever. All of our guests were in awe of the quality! We hope we get the opportunity to work with edithouse again in the future.

Alan and Emma in South Sudan

A year ago Alan and Emma travelled to South Sudan to film the extraordinary work that is happening at a girls school and Health Care Centre for the community in Rumbek. It's a long term project in the making and we can't wait to see the edits Alan will put together.

Don't be shy!

We'd love to hear all about your wedding day - arrange a video call with Emma to get the ball rolling.
